Ladybird Children's Nursery- Archibald is located in a separate building in Archibald First School, Archibald Street making it an ideal location for families living in Gosforth, Kenton and Fawdon. Children can start from 18 months old and stay with us until the age of five years. Our spacious classroom is bright, airy and provides the children with ample room for all the activities our nursery offers. We have an amazing outdoor area which children enjoy spending lots of time in.

We have strong ties with all the schools in the area and we will prepare your child for entry into the school of your choice. We can offer a drop of and collect service from Archibald First School Nursery if you share the care between us and them.

Our goal is to provide a safe and caring environment, where children can gain a positive approach to school and learning. They will learn to care for, and respect each other, whilst learning how to be part of a group. Good pre school education is crucial to a child's formative years, and fosters an enthusiasm and confidence that will remain with them throughout their school life.

Our experienced and dedicated staff help the children to become successful learners, confident individuals, and caring contributors to society. The children learn through play and structured lessons, with a balance of free choice.

It is widely accepted that children in this age group absorb and achieve more than at any other stage in their school life, and this makes choosing the right pre school vital.

What our parent's say

"This pre school is just brilliant. Both my daughter's have attended. The atmosphere is great, there are so many varied activities that children can throw themselves into and it's an incredible nurturing environment."

"Children thoroughly enjoy exploring the stimulating indoor and outdoor play areas, and the wide range of high-quality play resources. They make independent choices and follow their own interests in their play and learning."

"Staff work closely with parents. They work hard to ensure that all parents know what their children are doing. They create a strong and effective two-way flow of information between the playgroup and home. Parents comment that staff give a detailed handover at the end of the session."
